I even had the pleasure of recreating that atmosphere at home thanks to two display cases from Robert Goirand. I sometimes think we became collectors when I see these miniatures in their transparent boxes with yellow and black bases, lined up side by side in the thermoformed compartments, protected by acetate sheets in Dinky Toys' yellow and red colors. Models contemporary to this type of display case (around 1968-1970) were priced high. I thought of this when I saw some beautiful examples offered this week. A Porsche Carrera 6 complete with its rare cardboard wedge used to hold the rear hood open. I imagine it displayed like that in one of the compartments of the case. We also have two Ford Thunderbirds in their two different finishes. This large model fits easily in the display case: everything had been thought of. In the late sixties, since the arrival of Tri-Ang, Liverpool exported to France
