The design on the lid had captivated me. Recently, I had the unexpected opportunity to acquire a Dinky Toys catalog, 1963 edition, bearing the company's stamp. Needless to say, this catalog is particularly dear to me. Having become a collector in the mid-seventies, I looked at these shop windows with a different perspective. I had grown up; I had lost the childlike innocence that makes everything seem wonderful in a toy shop window. Memories would now be associated with other products, those intended for collectors. Around the same time, there was a surge in the production of new scale models specifically for collectors. These were no longer just toys, and their price tag made it clear to the buyer that they were dealing with a product for adults. That's how I discovered these Tekno models made in the Netherlands."}
